Dual Enrollment

Dual Enrollment gives eligible Missouri S&T undergraduate students the opportunity to take graduate-level courses during their final one or two semesters—while still completing their bachelor’s degree. These courses are taken in addition to undergraduate degree requirements and are recorded as graduate credit, allowing students to begin working toward a future advanced degree.

This option offers flexibility and early exposure to graduate coursework, making it a great fit for students who:

  • Plan to pursue a graduate degree and want to get a head start

  • Are exploring graduate school options and want to try out advanced coursework

  • Have room in their schedules during their final undergraduate semesters and want to make the most of their time at S&T

Graduate credit earned through Dual Enrollment may be applied to a future graduate certificate, master’s, or Ph.D. program at Missouri S&T—or potentially transferred to another institution, depending on that institution’s transfer credit policies.

To ensure the courses can be used toward a graduate program, students must submit the Dually Enrolled Undergraduate Graduate Credit Indication Form within the first two weeks of the semester. This form designates the courses as graduate credit at the time they are taken. Without this step, the courses will remain on the undergraduate record and cannot be applied to a graduate degree later.

Dual Enrollment is an excellent opportunity for students to accelerate their academic goals, gain early graduate-level experience, and keep their future options open—all without needing to commit to a specific graduate program right away.
