Doctoral Recruitment Visit Program

When your academic department invites prospective doctoral students to campus, the Graduate School will provide $750 to the academic department for the student's travel costs.

Recruitment of students into the doctoral programs at Missouri S&T is a pressing challenge that we all must address. The Graduate School introduces the Doctoral Recruitment Visit Program to encourage faculty and academic departments to invite prospective doctoral students to visit campus. The most impactful aspect of such visits is likely to be in-person meetings between prospective students and potential research advisors.  Each approved visit may receive $750 for an individual visit by a prospective student. Because visits by a group of prospective students may facilitate more extensive and effective recruiting activities such as research talks or poster sessions than are practical during individual visits, departments that coordinate three or more prospective students during the same visit may receive an additional $1,000.

Please see the requirements below and reach out to the Graduate School at grad@mst.edu with any questions.
