Students who were born, raised, and educated in the following countries are exempted from Missouri S&T’s English language proficiency requirement:

  • Australia
  • Canada (except Quebec)
  • New Zealand
  • United Kingdom
  • United States of America
  • Ireland
  • Jamaica
  • Bahamas
  • Trinidad & Tobago
  • British Guiana
  • Ghana

To qualify for exemptions, students must provide high school or college diploma and evidence of citizenship of the countries provided above.

International students who completed a college degree or a minimum of two years of college studies in Australia, English speaking parts of Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America) are exempted from the English language proficiency requirement. English language proficiency exemption expires after five years of graduation.
