Thesis and Dissertation Boot Camp

The Office of Graduate Studies offers a Thesis and Dissertation Boot Camp 1-2 times per semester to help master's and doctoral students become focused and productive on their thesis or dissertation.  If you are having trouble starting to write, gathering information, working through "writer's block" or citing sources, then this boot camp is for you!

Schedule

  • 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
  • Mini Boot Camps: back-to-back workshops, break for lunch
  • Week-long Boot Camp:
    • 9:00 to noon: Orientation, workshop, writing session
    • noon to 1:00: Break for lunch
    • 1:00 to 1:30: Best Writing Practices
    • 1:30 to 4:00: afternoon writing session

How to Register

To register, please download the registration form and bring it to the Office of Graduate Studies in G-8 Norwood Hall. There is a $25 registration fee for week-long Boot Camps and a $10 registration fee for Mini Boot Camps. All registration fees must be paid in cash or check and are nonrefundable. Please register no later than one week before the start of the event.
